Frequently Asked Questions

What are your areas of expertise in psychotherapy?

I have advanced expertise in treating mood disorders, eating disorders, body image, trauma, relationship challenges, creative blocks and life transitions.

What is your therapeutic approach?

I work through a psychodynamic, relational, holistic and feminist lens grounded in my creative arts therapy and drama therapy education and training. This means that during the course of our work together we will explore the wholeness of your identity in the context of our culture including the impact of community, systems and society on your sense of self and how you’ve navigated the world. We may also explore how your upbringing and early experiences contribute to existing challenges in self-worth, thinking and behavior patterns. Understanding the patterns that emerged to help you cope with past experiences supports your ability to make positive changes in your life and relationships now. And your unique cultural identity informs all aspects of your lived experience and your therapeutic goals.

What are your rates?

The session fee is $250, with sliding scale options available based on need and availability. Cancellations must be communicated with at least 24 hours notice – otherwise a no-show/cancellation charge will incur.

What form of payment do you take?

I accept all credit cards and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA style cards.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider. I am happy to provide receipts should you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance company.

What questions should I ask my insurance provider?

·       Do I have mental health OON (out of network) insurance benefits?

·       What is my deductible and has it been met?

·       What percentage will I be reimbursed when I reach my deductible?

How are therapy services provided?

All sessions are via telehealth video at this time.
