Values

Expressing my core values and beliefs gives you a window into the foundations of my therapy and coaching practice. Understanding where I stand offers us greater potential for positive alignment in our work together.

I am dedicated to helping you feel at home in your physical body, develop self-compassion and to increase life satisfaction and fulfillment.

My Value Statements

I believe you are whole, resourceful and wise.

I believe you are the expert on your body, mind and soul.

I believe in your freedom to express all the complex parts of yourself without apology.

I believe that your identities including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, size, ability, religion/spirituality, social class, nationality and where you live inform your experiences, challenges, aspirations and goals.

I believe in and support the whole of you including the confused, angry, ambivalent, scared and sad parts.

I believe that healing is a process of learning self-compassion and reclaiming enjoyment and creativity.

I believe that inclusion and anti-oppression through learning and unlearning, ongoing self-reflection, action, and engaging with equitable communities enriches our humanity, honors our freedoms and creates a more just world.

To honor my core value of contribution I participate in The International Coach Federation’s Ignite Initiative which brings pro bono coaching to organizations and nonprofits that make a positive impact on humanity and the planet.

I honor and acknowledge that I live on the ancestral lands of the Wabanaki tribes. A portion of my income is donated to a Maine-based women’s nonprofit supporting the needs of Native Americans.
